Music is like second nature to Carolyn. She grew up in a musical family and started singing at the age of 5 in Chicago, IL. She spent most of her time learning how to sing in the church. She was born in Gospel Temple COGIC. At the age of 10, she landed 3 lead roles in plays at school. She had the starring role of “Dorothy” in The Wizard of Oz, “ Cinderella” and “Carmen” in Fame Jr.
The church is where her love for music developed. Carolyn captures the audience by singing many uplifting songs of praise. She started singing background vocals on the praise team at Greater St. John Bible Church and leading praise and worship at Pentecostal Church of Holiness. She was able to perfect her gift at these churches.
At 21, Carolyn graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago. She expressed interest in extracurricular activities that involved music during her undergraduate career. She became the President of the Unity in Christ Gospel Choir.
Aside from music, she has a love for science and enjoys working as a healthcare professional. After receiving her Bachelor of Science she began to pursue artistry in many forms.
As an independent artist, Carolyn released her highly anticipated debut single entitled Where you at God in September of 2020, which captured the need for God. Her newly released single entitled Abide (2022) is a petition song to God. She says it is her "heart's prayer". Far from perfect but the song says she never wants to be in her flesh but only in the presence of God. All material things of the world, certain feelings that come from other things are in no comparison to what it feels like to be in His presence.
Beyond the stage, she has engaged her interests in fashion, beauty, and modeling. She is a self-taught MUA who began taking makeup clients in 2020. She then started her makeup servicing business by the name of Angelic Radiance. Angelic Radiance is a business & platform for her to show her makeup talents and artistry.
